Orica Seismic Electronic Initiating System—Oseis™
 
   
 
  Safety and security are unsurpassed with the Orica Seismic Electronic Initiating System (Oseis™) shooting system through the use of digital detonators and control equipment. The Oseis™ detonators have protection structures in the electronic circuitry and can only be fired by a unique digital code programmed from the Oseis™ Shooter. The electronic communication ability of the Oseis™ system allows full system functionality testing with the associated software enabling the recording of detonator testing and shot hole placement.

  Oseis™ Detonator
 
   
 
  Oseis™ Detonators have protection structures in the electronic circuitry, which give a high level of protection against stray currents, over-voltage, static electricity, and electromagnetic radiation.
   
 
  Oseis™ Tester
 
   
 
  The Oseis™ Tester is used during explosives charging to perform testing functions. The Tester reads and stores the unique detonator identity number to memory. The user is able to review the data stored in the Tester. The unique Oseis™ identity number is also printed on the flag tag and allows full inventory traceability for Oseis™ Detonators.

Software allows seismic shooting plans to be downloaded and stored for easy shot control and explosives reconciliation.
   
 
  Oseis™ Shooter
 
   
 
  To fire the shot, only the Oseis™ Shooter can be used. The Oseis™ Shooter is compatible with all existing seismic shooting systems.

The Shooters are also protected by a digital key or personalized Identification number (PIN) to prevent use by unauthorized personnel.

  The Orica Seismic Electric™ Detonator is a high strength electric detonator containing built-in anti static features and is specifically designed for performance in the toughest of environments found in geophysical exploration. They can be used for both single- shot firing and pattern firing applications. The detonator is designed for precision and high accuracy, which provides short initiation lag time ensuring firing within the sampling rate of most seismic acquisition systems.
